Statement
In 2002, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration designated
the Midwest OSHA Education Centers (MOEC) to conduct OSHA
Training Institute Courses. MOEC is a partnership between Saint
Louis University School of Public Health, Kirkwood
Community College of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and the National
Safety Council, Greater Omaha Chapter. This partnership of
programs provides a broad network of training resources that enables
Region 7 to offer premium quality training and educational services.
The
Centers offer courses at each campus, and at satellite locations
throughout Region 7. Each program is well established, training
thousands each year. In addition to the OSHA Training Institute
courses listed herein, these Centers offer courses in virtually
every aspect of environmental health and safety, including: hazardous
materials, water and wastewater, asbestos and lead, as well as
certifications for environmental professionals.
Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available for all OTI education
center courses. In addition, each Center offers customized training
services. For a complete accounting of these courses, services
and research activities, as well as links to each of the Centers,
